Lynch
Retired from careers in education and in accountancy. Former Chair
of Penwith Housing Association, Janet is Trustee and Treasurer
of many local voluntary groups including Penwith Credit Union. |
Alan
Shepherd
An accountant with over thirty years business experience, including
private practice in the North East of England, commercial work
in the steel industry and financial administration in regional
and London theatre. From the 1980's until 1999, financial director
of a property and aviation group incorporating over twenty limited
companies in the fields of finance, taxation, corporate services
and employment training. Now representing the Marine Sector in
Cornwall as Business Development Director of the Cornwall Marine
Network. Interests: running, soccer, politics, reading and theatre.

Andy Moore
Chief Executive of Penwith Housing Association (the biggest Housing
Association in Cornwall with assets in excess of £80 million).
Formerly Chair of a Council for Voluntary Service which managed
a large Community Building housing a number ofcommunity projects. |
Cllr John
Payne
John Payne is a District Councillor (Penzance South Ward), and
a County Councillor (Penzance Ward). John gives Benefit Advisory
support in all Penwith wards. He is a qualified staff trainer
and an Associate Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development.
John is also a Trustee on the GOFA and Pengarth Boards, a member
of the Newlyn Fish Industry Forum and the Duchy Fish Quota Company |
Sylvia
Smith
A town councillor and ex-mayor of St Just Town Council. Sylvia
is also a facilitator trainer in alternative medicine. Now works
full-time in the community and is a Trustee of Age Concern, a
Member of Newlyn & Penzance Pact, St Just Community Action
Panel, St Just & Pendeen Children Centres, Chair of St Just
Age Concern and St Just Business Centre, and is President of St
Just Boxing Club. |
Bernard
Rees
Retired engineer, previously mayor of
St. Just in Penwith and a Town Councillor, Bernard is the Vice-President
of Cornwall Association of Parish and Town Councils, Chaif of
Penwith Citizens Advice Bureau, Chair of Age Concern Penzance,
President of the St. Just Royal British Legion and club Chair.
He is also on the committees of various other charities. |

| Guy Doncaster,
Cornwall Waste Action
Has worked in the Community and Voluntary Sector for over 10years.
Areas of work include youth, mental health, community development
and environmental. One of the founding directors of Cornwall
Waste Action, and now works as it’s coordinator. Is Chair
of Falmouth Green Centre, Secretary of Cornwall Waste Action
and Penwith Environmental Network, and is a member of GOFA and
Coprnwall Litter Partnership Committee.

John Lambourn,
Market & Coastal Town Initiative
Retired from Hong Kong Government. Senior Marine Officer, qualified
Shipmaster/Master Mariner. Fellow Nautical Institute. Member
of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Basic Law Consultative
Committee. Also a past President of the Association of Expatriate
Civil Servants of Hong Kong. Is now Chair and Director of West
Cornwall Lugger Industry Trust Ltd, Co-Chair of Penzance Market
& Coastal Town Initiative and Treasurer or Newlyn Association.

| Sarah Newton,
Shallal
Company Manager of ‘Shallal’, an inclusive community
dance theatre and related charity. Sarah has a background in
music production and performance, youth work, children’s
rights, community development and consultation, fundraising
and project management.

Cynthia
Watmore, Penwith Volunteer Bureau
Born at St Loye, St Buryan. Educated in Cornwall and Camborne.
Taught at the Demonstration School of the Froetoel Institute
– then appointed to the staff. Returned to Cornwall in
1955 to teach at West Cornwall School. Set up a number of travel
projects and supported student voluntary groups.
As Chair of CCVS Cynthia worked with children during the holidays
at Camborne School and Community College, and they set up Penzance
Volunteer Services and later also Hayle.
Created, together with other colleagues, the South West Volunteers
- with the help of Savage. Served the community in Kerrier and
Penzance, then Hayle.
Entered Europe and worked in education health and served on
the steering group of the Health Action Zone and the Education
Action Zone. Took the position left by Adrian Sanders on economic
groups and also representing at all time the Voluntary sector.
To date Cynthia serves on the Patient & Public Involvement
group and the West Cornwall PCT as a representative in Kerrier
and Penwith. Set up Home-Start and Sure Start in West Cornwall.
Cynthia is Trust Chair of Finance & Development Cornwall
Rural Community Council.
