PCDT's Environment Task Force
PCDT has a Environmental Task Force which is a cross departmental team with a remit to look at reducing PCDT's impact on the environment. PCDT successes to date include:
• Getting Photovoltaic Panels (PV) installed onto the Penwith Centre CLICK HERE to download a case study with more information on our scheme.
• Paying for staff to purchase Rail Cards,
• Using recycled paper,
• Recycling paper, cardboard, tins and bottles,
• Composting kitchen waste,
• Encouraging car share.
• Reducing lights left on during sunny days.
PCDT is also currently looking at:
• Introducing a bicycle purchase scheme if there's enough interest with the staff.
• Finding suppliers (such as stationery) who are more environmentally friendly.
We know we've got a long way to go!
