ASDAN Employability Award
This award will allow you to show potential employers that you have the skills that they are looking for. It is a nationally accredited award that showcases the skills employers have said they look for in job candidates. You will also gain assistance with looking for work and choosing the best career path.
ASDAN Certificate in Community Volunteering
This is a straightforward, nationally recognised qualification for volunteers. It offers you the chance to show the skills you have used and developed as a volunteer and gain recognition for them.
IT Taster Sessions
These courses are a short, 2 hour introduction to aspects of computing. They usually act as an introduction to a single aspect of using a computer. We can offer these taster sessions in the following; using your computer and file management, WebWise (Internet and E-Mail introduction), introduction to Word processing, introduction to Spreadsheets and an introduction to presentation software.
ITQ
This is the new name for the IT NVQ and will give you a nationally recognised qualification in Information Technology. On completion of this qualification you will have the skills required to enter into a career in IT or administration and be a competent computer user. It is a modular qualification and you can choose from the following options; Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database software, Desk Top Publishing, Presentation software, Internet and Intranet usage, E-Mail applications.
Marketing Your Organisation
A two day course which will enable you to effectively communicate with the media and promote your organisation. You will learn how to write press releases, take and format digital images and design eye catching publicity.
Design Brilliant Marketing Materials
A 10 week course (3 hours per week for 10 weeks) covering all aspects of desk top publishing. This course will enable you to design and create a range of publicity materials which will help to promote your organisation.
ESOL **
Would you like to improve your English to help you in your life in the UK? We can help you with: Shopping, Work, School, Health.
Literacy **
Would you like to develop your reading and writing skills? We can help you with writing letters, filling in forms, reading between the lines and word processing.
Numeracy **
Would you like to be more confident in real-life Maths? We can help you with cooking - weights and measures, making up a solution safely - ratios, knowing a bargain - percentages, measuring - areas and volume.
**ESOL, Literacy and Numeracy are available daily by appointment, just pop in or call to speak to one of our tutors.
